Step by Step guide as to why your need at least 1 month to organise your invites

Just getting started with your wedding invitations? Find out everything you need to know about timeframes here in an easy to read day by day guideline.

This article is assuming you have already researched designers, ordered sample packs, spoken with potential designers and have found your chosen wedding designer. The below is also for digital and white ink printing only. Hot Foil Stamping, Letterpress and Die Cut items take between 1-10 business days longer.

Day 1: Contact chosen designer to lock them in! Invoice sent to client for payment.

Day 2: Pending the invoice is paid the same day, client will provide designer all information to start production. This typically takes 2 days.

Day 4: Start designing. The first proof is sent to the client within 2 full business days.

Day 6: Proof 1 sent to client for review, amendments and or approval. This typically takes 1-2 days.

Day 8: Final proof sent to client with final invoice. Full payment required before design is sent to print.

Day 9: Pending the final invoice is paid same day, design is sent to print.

Day 16: Receive design back from print.

Day 17: Check, count, re-check, re-count, pack and send to client!

Day 20/21: Client receives invite, assuming they arrive within 3-4 working days.

Day 21-24: Client seals, stamps and posts invites. Yay!

On average there are 22 working days per month which means the above would take just over 1 month from Booking to Invitations arriving to you. This is a guide only, some clients take a little longer to respond and pay invoices which is perfectly fine but please keep this in mind when planning on ordering your invites.
